3 Wheel Double Buggy
A great option for parents who want to explore off-road the Fox 5 is a true all-terrain stroller. It has a suspension that is impressive and large, puncture proof wheels.

Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies begin life as single pushchairs, but some can be converted to take a second seat or carrycot using adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). Some models allow you to add an extra board to older children who are able to walk, but need some help.
Check out the Joie Evalite Duo for a lightweight option perfect for urban streets. It's a breeze to move and comes with a large basket that has plenty of storage space. It can accommodate twins starting at birth and accepts two car seats, or a carrycot with a seat. However, the seats have to be facing forwards, and there's no space for a shopping bag underneath and you'll need a sidepack for this.
If you're looking to take off-road trips, the Mountain Buggy Duet is a good choice. It's a side-byside model with the smallest footprint of any double buggy on the market. It is easier to get through narrow doors, on public transport and to climb over and up kerbs. It also has a handbrake on the adjustable handlebar for extra security and safety.
Another option that is lightweight is the UPPAbaby Vista 2 Double it can be used for twins or a baby and toddler. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50+ sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted to ensure that the sun doesn't touch your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can even be transformed into a triple using the addition of UPPAbaby's "PiggyBack' board for mobile older kids.
The iCandy Orange is one of the most sought-after double buggies available because of its exceptional comfort. 3 wheeled pushchair 's an all-terrain vehicle, with soft suspension to make smooth work of bumpy surfaces. It has 30 different seating configurations as well as a built-in table for older children who like walking, and a "cinema mode that raises the back seats to provide better visibility.
Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a brilliant single buggy that is available from day one that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) in multiple configurations. This is especially useful if you have an infant in a car seat, as the frame can be fitted with a wedgie that allows for optimal lie-flat positioning, or car seat adapters to various brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine the ease with which your child/children and you can push it. A smooth ride is essential as babies can feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain like grass or unpaved paths. Some models come with front tires that lock to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.
Some models have air-filled tyres that are ideal for all-terrain riding, but they can be prone punctures. Make sure you have a spare set of tyres inside the trunk. Some models have foam or gel-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, however they might be uncomfortable for your child should you decide to run.

Folding
A 3 wheel double buggy can fold up very easily to be stored. There are models that fold flat or stand up (as though they were in a pushchair) and those that pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with a hand-operated break. The more wheels the buggy has, generally, the easier it is to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than the average size. You will have more stability and it's less likely that you need to tip over or flip your child.

The phil&teds sports is another option. It is a future-proof model as it is brilliant as a buggy and can be adapted to take two (or three!) All of this fits into its compact footprint. It has a clever design of three wheels with a sling for better manoeuvrability and stability.

It's the smallest side-by-side double available. It also has some impressive technology, including LED lights for visibility which are located on both sides of its frame to increase safety in low-light conditions.
